Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Patient Consultation:
•    Provide expert consultation to female patients for a range of gynecological issues, including reproductive health, menstrual disorders, pregnancy, and menopause.
•    Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions such as fibroids, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, infections, and more.
2.    Pre- and Postnatal Care:
•    Oversee prenatal and postnatal care for pregnant women, including routine check-ups, monitoring fetal health, and providing guidance on nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being during pregnancy.
•    Manage complications during pregnancy and coordinate with other specialists if required.
3.    Surgical Procedures:
•    Perform gynecological surgeries, including C-sections, hysterectomies, and laparoscopic surgeries, as needed.
•    Advise patients on surgical options, recovery, and post-operative care.
4.    Patient Education:
•    Educate patients about preventive gynecological care, sexual health, contraceptive methods, and overall reproductive health.
•    Stay up to date with the latest medical research and advancements in Obstetrics and Gynecology to provide the best care possible.
5.    Emergency Care:
•    Provide care for gynecological emergencies such as ectopic pregnancy, severe bleeding, and other life-threatening conditions.
•    Be available for on-call duties when required, especially in case of emergencies.
6.    Collaborative Care:
•    Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
•    Refer patients to specialists for non-gynecological health issues when necessary.

Skills & Requirements:

•    MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology from a recognized medical institution.
•    Experience:
•    Freshers with MD (Obstetrics & Gynecology) or those with up to 3+ years of experience are encouraged to apply.
•    Medical Skills:
•    Expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gynecological conditions.
•    Surgical expertise in performing gynecological procedures, including laparoscopic surgeries.
•    Proficiency in performing routine checks during pregnancy, managing labor, and delivering babies.
•    Communication Skills:
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, their families, and medical staff.
•    Ability to educate and advise patients on health issues and treatment plans.
•    Soft Skills:
•    Empathy and sensitivity to patient needs, especially during challenging or stressful situations.
•    Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in medical emergencies.
