Educational Qualification:
•    DM in Cardiology

•    0 to 3+ years of experience in Cardiology

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Patient Consultation:
•    Provide consultations to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, heart disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
•    Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ medical history, lifestyle, and symptoms related to heart and circulatory conditions.
2.    Diagnostic Procedures:
•    Perform diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECG), echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring to assess heart function.
•    Interpret test results, make accurate diagnoses, and recommend treatment options for patients.
3.    Treatment & Management:
•    Prescribe medications to manage heart conditions, such as antihypertensives, statins, anticoagulants, and antiarrhythmic drugs.
•    Develop personalized treatment plans for managing chronic heart conditions and ensuring long-term health.
4.    Intervention Procedures:
•    Depending on qualifications, assist or perform interventional procedures such as angioplasty, stent placements, and catheterizations for patients with severe cardiovascular conditions.
•    Work with surgical teams for patients requiring more advanced interventions like bypass surgery or valve replacement.
5.    Preventive Care & Education:
•    Advise patients on heart-healthy lifestyles, including diet, exercise, and stress management to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
•    Provide education to patients about managing risk factors like high cholesterol, diabetes, and smoking.
6.    Monitoring & Follow-up:
•    Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their health status and test results.
•    Follow up with patients post-procedure or surgery to ensure recovery and manage potential complications.
7.    Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Teams:
•    Collaborate with other medical specialists (such as endocrinologists, nephrologists, or surgeons) for comprehensive care.
•    Work with nurses, dietitians, and physiotherapists to ensure holistic care for patients.
8.    Emergency Care:
•    Provide immediate care for heart-related emergencies such as heart attacks, arrhythmias, and acute heart failure.
•    Stabilize patients and manage life-threatening situations before directing them for further care or surgery.
