Job description

The Junior Accountant is responsible for assisting the finance and accounts team in managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
This role is critical in maintaining compliance with financial regulations and contributing to the smooth operation of the companys financial processes in the dynamic automobile industry.

Key Responsibilities

•    Accounting & Financial Transactions Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, receipts, and payments. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
•    Taxation & Compliance Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory filings and compliance. Prepare tax reports and support audits. Stay updated with changes in tax regulations relevant to the automobile industry.
•    Inventory & Fixed Assets Management Maintain accurate records of inventory (spare parts, vehicles, etc.) and assist in inventory audits. Support the tracking and depreciation of fixed assets.
•    Financial Reporting Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate reports on cash flow, profitability, and expenses. Support the senior accountant in budget preparation and variance analysis.
•    Coordination & Communication Liaise with internal departments (sales, service, and procurement) for financial data. Communicate with external stakeholders like banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
•    Miscellaneous Tasks Assist in payroll processing. Support internal and external audits. Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned by the senior accountant or finance manager.
