• Curriculum Development:Participate in the design, development, and enhancement of biology curriculum, courses, and educational materials.Align curriculum with established learning objectives, educational standards, and emerging trends in biology.
• Classroom Instruction:Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, laboratory sessions, and discussions to undergraduate and/or graduate students.Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and promote critical thinking.
• Student Engagement:Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and active learning.Foster student curiosity, inquiry, and enthusiasm for biology.
• Laboratory Supervision:Oversee laboratory activities, experiments, and projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed.Provide hands-on guidance to students during practical sessions.
• Assessment and Feedback:Develop assessments, quizzes, exams, and assignments to evaluate student understanding of biology concepts.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
• Academic Advising:Offer academic guidance, mentorship, and support to students pursuing biology-related programs.
• Research and Scholarly Activities:Engage in scientific research, scholarly activities, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of biology.Encourage students to participate in research projects and provide guidance on research methodologies.
• Professional Development:Stay current with advancements in biology, educational technologies, and pedagogical approaches through continuous learning.
• Departmental Collaboration:Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, program assessment, and interdisciplinary projects.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.
