Job description

The Engineer Production is responsible for managing and operating Auto Turning Machines (Sliding Head Automats) to produce precision components in alignment with production schedules and quality standards. Also, the engineer needs to handle machine setup, changeovers, tooling, and troubleshooting, with a focus on achieving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining production quality.External InterfacesInternal Interfaces

Job Requirements
•    EducationDiploma in Mechanical engineeringRelevant 
•    Experience0 to 2 yearsBehavioural Skills
•    Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
•    Prioritizing tasks to meet production deadlines efficiently.
•    Collaborating effectively in a team-oriented production environment.
•    Possesses the ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and employees.
Knowledge
•    Understanding on AutoCAD/3D modelling
•    Understanding the functioning & Operation of Turning Machines
•    Knowledge on CNC Programming (G Code / M Code) is an advantage
•    Awareness of cutting speeds, feed rates, coolant & its applications
•    Knowledge on Quality Control tools such as Vernier, Profile Projectors, etc,.
•    Awareness of workplace safety protocols and machine safety guidelines

1.    Machine Operations: Efficient operation of Auto Turning Machines to meet delivery timelines. Timely setup and changeovers for new production runs. Tooling
2.    Quality Control: Regularly inspecting components to ensure adherence to quality standards. Identifying and addressing defects during production.
3.    Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Quick resolution of machine issues to reduce downtime by escalating to Maintenance team.
4.    Process Optimization: Identifying areas for improvement in production efficiency. Implementing solutions to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
5.    Safety and Compliance: Awareness of workplace safety protocols and machine safety guidelines.
6.    Team Collaboration: Coordinating with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams. Documenting and sharing progress, issues, and solutions across shifts
7.    Lean Manufacturing: Familiarity with waste reduction techniques, process efficiency, and 5S practices.
