Job description
1. Environmental Monitoring (EM):
• Conduct environmental monitoring for microbial contamination in production areas.
• Handle all the equipment and instruments used for environmental monitoring, ensuring proper calibration and functioning.
2. Microbial Limit Testing (MLT):
• Perform microbial limit tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
• Follow established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) during testing.
3. Water Analysis:
• Perform water testing to monitor microbial contamination levels, ensuring compliance with industry standards for water used in manufacturing and other processes.
• Ensure water used in the production environment adheres to safety and quality guidelines.
4. Software Handling for EM:
• Operate Environmental Monitoring (EM) related software for data entry, tracking, and analysis.
• Maintain accurate records of environmental conditions and microbial testing results.
• Analyze and interpret EM data to identify any areas of concern and suggest corrective actions.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
• Ensure proper documentation of all test results, environmental monitoring, and microbial limit tests, in compliance with industry regulations.
• Prepare regular reports for quality control and regulatory review.
6. Compliance & Quality Control:
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with good laboratory practices (GLP) and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with quality control and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
7. Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to maintain high standards of environmental safety and product quality.
Skills & Requirements:
Educational Background:
• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized institution.
Experience:
• Preferably candidates with prior experience in injectable microbiology and environmental monitoring.
• Familiarity with microbial limit testing and water analysis is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in the use of environmental monitoring equipment and software.
• Strong understanding of microbiological techniques and laboratory equipment.
Communication Skills:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
Attention to Detail:
• High attention to detail when handling equipment and performing tests.
• Ability to interpret data accurately and report findings clearly.
