Job description
As an End User Support professional, you will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting and assisting end users with their technical issues related to operating systems and software. You’ll help resolve issues related to Windows 10, MacOS, and Microsoft Office 365 (O365), as well as perform tasks like OS installations and configurations.
Required Skills & Knowledge:
1. Education:
• Any Graduate: The role is open to candidates from any educational background, provided they have the technical knowledge required for the role.
2. End User Support:
• Windows 10: You should be able to provide support for Windows 10 users, helping with troubleshooting, configuration, and resolving any system-related issues.
• MacOS: Knowledge of MacOS is also required for assisting users who are using Apple devices.
• Office 365 (O365): You will assist users with Microsoft Office applications, including troubleshooting common problems with O365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• OneDrive: You will help end users with syncing, configuring, and troubleshooting issues related to OneDrive.
3. Technical Support Tasks:
• OS Installation & Configuration: You will be responsible for installing and configuring operating systems (like Windows 10 and MacOS) for users, ensuring that the systems are set up according to company standards.
• Troubleshooting: Helping users resolve issues with their operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Ticketing Tools: Experience with ticketing tools to track, manage, and resolve end-user issues effectively.
4. Networking Knowledge:
• DNS (Domain Name System): Basic understanding of how DNS works, including troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
• DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol): Basic knowledge of DHCP and how it assigns IP addresses to devices on a network.
• Active Directory (AD): Understanding of Active Directory for user management, permissions, and group policies.
Responsibilities:
• Provide first-level technical support to end users for issues related to OS, software, and network connectivity.
• Assist with OS installations and configurations for both Windows 10 and MacOS devices.
• Troubleshoot issues related to OneDrive, Office 365, and other common software.
• Utilize ticketing tools to manage and track user issues, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner.
Ideal Candidate:
• Fresher: This role is for fresh graduates with little to no professional experience but a strong interest in IT support.
• Basic Technical Knowledge: You should have a fundamental understanding of operating systems, networking, and office software.
