Sungov Engineering is a 38-year-old, privately held organization specializing in the design and manufacturing of industrial equipment for the Oil & Gas sector. Established in 1986, the company operated as a family-owned setup until 2015-16, when it began transitioning to a professionally managed organization. Today, Sungov has over 120 employees, three manufacturing units, and sales offices across the Middle East, South-East Asia, and the Americas. As a leading designer and manufacturer in the Filtration and Separation domain, the company anticipates achieving a turnover of USD 4 million this financial year.
Sungov Engineering is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and results-driven professional to head its Human Resources and Administration Department. Reporting directly to senior management, the candidate will play a critical role in shaping the companys HR strategy and ensuring its workforce remains engaged, skilled, and productive.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the company’s foundational HR policies.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and training initiatives to build a strong workforce.
• Continuously monitor and improve employee job satisfaction, skill development, and productivity.
• Collaborate with department heads to create and manage an employee training calendar.
• Design and implement a Key Responsibility Area (KRA)-based performance appraisal system.
Secondary Responsibilities:
• Maintain HR-related documentation in compliance with ISO standards and statutory requirements.
• Handle legal and statutory compliance related to staff and labor, providing necessary support.
• Ensure company personnel adhere to established policies and procedures.
• Support administrative functions, including documentation management, facility maintenance, and coordination of office services.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree is essential; MBA in Human Resources Management is desirable.
• Preferably from a medium-sized Engineering or Design & Drafting company with relevant experience.
• Exposure to manufacturing units and knowledge of the Factory Establishment Act is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills. Proven ability to design and implement HR policies and drive organizational development initiatives.
